Olive Oyl's baby's name is Swee'Pea. The Popeye movie with Shelley Duvall as Olive Oyl and Robin Williams as Popeye has one of the cutest babies I've ever seen as SweetPea. And it's a really good movie. One of my favorites. Gorgeous sets, good music... I need to watch it again, now that I think of it
fellow condiment freaks unite 🤝 honored to be a catalyst for this very sweet dispatch. writing/reading these feel like journal entires / old school blogs which i am very nostalgic for!! can't wait for more <3
My grandmother had that same mug with the doll face on it… I think there were two in a set and I want to say there was some kind of branding tie in involved, like maybe they were Campbell’s soul characters or something …
You were in my neighborhood and hit some great spots. Those restaurants are great to visit off season, as is the beach. There’s never a bad day at the beach! Glad you enjoyed.
I may have missed it, but if this is your first try here on Substack with this kind of post, then at least for me it was a winner! I miss New England so much, and also have a dog that my life revolves around. Kudos for an entertaining and interesting post (I'll be adding that taco spot to my travel list now cheers!)
I'm personally not much of a crafter, although I love building and assembling things, but I LOVE travel. Thanks for sharing!
bocce ball… ha i love your description of candlepin bowling! i grew up in MA thinking that big bowling balls were only in movies 🤣 so cool you went to Rye and Ray’s, yess! i’m only over the border, inspired to get out there now.

I can’t believe you were in my “hood” in NH!
If you ever go to Portland again you should check out Eventide! Fresh and yummy!
Drinks are great too! My daughter has worked in the kitchen for 3 years!
Your pups looked so cute and I’m sure they loved the beach. I miss taking our dog who passed away last year! 💕

Thank you, Ella, for the journal and lots of tips for those of us who may want to journey and experience the same wonderful nature and food!
Such fun to read, Ella—felt like I was on the trip with all of you. Enjoyed it all!
I love this! My dog is the main character of my life, and trips planned around him are always the best!
Love this so much!! I’m moving from L.A. (WeHo where I was born and raised) to N.H. in June. Can’t wait!

Give me a New England beach any day over any other beach! Glad you enjoyed your trip into my favorite vacation places.
Loved your travel post! And your Jerry reminds me of my Jack Russell, Bosco, who lived large to the grand old age of 16.
Love! Looks like an ideal getaway, happy you shared it with us!!!
I really enjoyed reading this. Thank you for taking me along to somewhere I’ve never been.
